Committed to putting the voice of victims at the heart of change, Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion is giving those with lived experience a chance to shape support services in West Mercia.
Through the PCC’s Lived Experience Scheme, he is calling on victims of domestic violence and sexual violence to have their say on bids submitted by providers to help future victims to cope and recover.
This latest opportunity follows the successful input from victims, through the scheme, who played a pivotal role in the creation of the Victim Support Gateway – a free and confidential support service available to those impacted by crime.
PCC John Campion said: “Domestic violence and sexual violence are two of the biggest causes of harm in West Mercia, so it’s vital the support on offer to victims is delivering a service that they can have confidence in.
“That’s why, as part of the latest round of recommissioning work taking place, I want to ensure those voices are given a platform to shape real change. To ensure the future provision in West Mercia delivers a service that meets the expectations of those going through the worst time in their life.”
Those interested in taking part can email OPCCComms@westmercia.police.uk before Tuesday 30 September. There will be support on offer throughout the process.
